Overview
The Program Manager will support the planning, execution, and delivery of software‑focused initiatives within the Telecom IT environment. This role emphasizes coordination, communication, and day‑to‑day management of software programs, ensuring alignment across development, testing, operations, and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Project Coordination
- Coordinate software project plans, timelines, and milestones across teams.
- Track progress on development, testing, and deployment activities.
- Maintain program dashboards, task trackers, and documentation repositories.
Team & Stakeholder Communication
- Facilitate communication between software developers, QA teams, network/IT operations, and business stakeholders.
- Organize regular stand‑ups, review meetings, and follow‑ups.
- Prepare concise status reports and summaries for management.
Documentation & Process Management
- Maintain updated program documentation including requirements, change logs, release notes, and test results.
- Support adherence to basic software development processes (Agile, waterfall, or hybrid).
- Follow up with teams to ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks.
Risk, Issue & Change Tracking
- Log and track risks, issues, and dependencies across software projects.
- Monitor change requests and assist with approvals or escalations.
- Ensure teams adhere to version control and release management timelines.
Coordination of Software Releases
- Assist in planning release schedules with development and operations teams.
- Coordinate pre‑deployment checks and post‑deployment validations.
- Ensure communication of downtime, impact, and release updates.
Basic Skillsets Required
Software & Tools (Basic Level)
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) concepts.
- Basic understanding of Agile methodologies (sprints, backlogs, user stories).
- Ability to use project/activity tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana, or similar).
- Comfort working with documentation tools (Confluence, SharePoint, Google Workspace).
- Basic proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
General Skills
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Good organizational and time‑management skills.
- Attention to detail for documentation and tracking.
- Ability to work with cross‑functional teams in a structured manner.
- Basic analytical skills for interpreting program data or metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (IT, Computer Science, Telecom, Business, or related field preferred but not mandatory).
- 1-3 years of experience in coordination, project management, software operations, or similar roles (optional for junior roles).
