Summary of Role

In this role, you will:

  • Lead a portfolio of information security transformation programmes within a large, complex global organisation.
  • Drive the delivery of security change initiatives that strengthen governance, controls, and regulatory alignment across technology and business functions.
  • Act as a senior programme lead, ensuring security initiatives are delivered efficiently, transparently, and in line with strategic priorities.
  • Partner closely with senior stakeholders to embed security requirements into enterprise services and operating models.
  • Support the ongoing evolution of a mature, globally consistent information security capability.

Job Description

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Oversee the end‑to‑end delivery of multiple information security programmes and projects, from initiation through to execution and value realisation.
  • Define programme roadmaps, milestones, success measures, KPIs and OKRs, ensuring clear ownership and accountability.
  • Manage programme governance, budgets, resources, risks, and interdependencies across a global delivery landscape.
  • Provide regular, high‑quality reporting and insights to senior leadership and steering forums.
  • Collaborate with technology, risk, compliance, and business teams to ensure security initiatives align with organisational standards and regulatory expectations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on information security change, offering guidance on delivery approach, prioritisation, and impact.
  • Champion security awareness and adoption, ensuring requirements are effectively embedded into services and business processes.
  • Anticipate delivery risks and dependencies early, driving mitigation actions to maintain momentum and quality.

Experience and Skills Required

  • Extensive experience in information security, technology, or IT delivery, ideally within large enterprise or regulated environments.
  • Proven track record managing security or technology transformation portfolios, including complex, multi‑year programmes.
  • Strong programme and project management capability; formal certification (e.g. PMP or equivalent) is advantageous.
  • Solid understanding of European regulatory frameworks relevant to information security, such as DORA and NIS2.
  • Broad knowledge of information security domains, including security governance, controls, architecture, and management systems.
  • Familiarity with recognised industry standards and frameworks (e.g. ISO 270xx, COBIT).
  • Confident stakeholder manager with the ability to influence senior leaders and coordinate diverse delivery teams.
  • An agile, pragmatic mindset with the ability to operate independently in fast‑moving environments.
