We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Backend Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team on a 12-month B2B/Freelance contract, with a strong possibility of extension.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a leading technology platform, collaborating with top-tier engineers in a fast-paced, international environment. You'll play a key role in shaping scalable backend solutions, driving technical excellence, and supporting teams across multiple stakeholders.
Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with highly skilled engineering teams to build and scale a best-in-class platform.Drive technical excellence and contribute to cross-team and cross-functional alignment.Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and microservices-based architectures.Work with modern integration frameworks and implement enterprise integration patterns.Coach and mentor developers on both client and partner teams.Deliver technical training, workshops, and best-practice guidance.Collaborate effectively within diverse, multicultural teams across international locations.Stay up to date with emerging technologies and continuously improve existing solutions.Required Skills & ExperienceMinimum 5 years of experience in a Java Backend Engineering role.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).Excellent English communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.Strong hands-on experience with:JavaSpring / Spring BootMicroservices ArchitectureIntegration PatternsApache CamelSpring IntegrationProven ability to adapt to evolving technologies and software landscapes.Passion for building high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions.Experience coaching, mentoring, and supporting development teams.Interested?If you're a Java Backend Engineer passionate about Java, Spring, Microservices, and Integration Technologies, we'd love to hear from you.
