Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer with strong expertise in Fortinet and Palo Alto security platforms to design, secure, operate, and support mission‑critical IT and telecom network infrastructures. This role is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of core telecom environments-including data centers, network elements, OSS/BSS platforms, and cloud‑based workloads-while maintaining high performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures across telecom and IT environments.
- Deploy, configure, and manage Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer) and Palo Alto Networks (NGFW, Panorama) security platforms.
- Implement firewall policies, NAT, VPNs (IPSec/SSL), threat prevention, URL filtering, and application control.
- Conduct security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance enforcement across infrastructure.
- Monitor network and security infrastructure using tools such as Zabbix, Prometheus, SNMP‑based systems, and vendor‑specific dashboards
- Troubleshoot complex network and security issues impacting telecom services.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands‑on experience with Fortinet and Palo Alto Networks firewalls and security ecosystems.
- Solid understanding of telecom network architecture:
- IP/MPLS, WAN, LAN
- SIP, SS7, SIGTRAN (basic to intermediate)
- Deep knowledge of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, routing protocols, firewalls, load balancers.
- Experience with virtualization platforms: VMware, KVM, Hyper‑V.
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security models.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Zabbix, Prometheus, SNMP).
- Familiarity with OSS/BSS systems and integration points.
- Understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and high‑availability systems.
- Scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
Additional Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work in fast‑paced telecom environments.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Relevant certifications are a plus:
- Fortinet NSE4-NSE7
- Palo Alto PCNSA / PCNSE
- CCNA/CCNP, AWS/Azure certifications, or equivalent
