Business Analyst - National Non‑Profit / Public‑Impact Organisation
Duration: Permanent, full‑time
Type: Salaried role 50-60K per annum plus benefits
Location: Dublin city centre (hybrid working model)
On-site Requirement: Approx. 2 days per week
Summary of Role
In this role, you will:
- Act as the link between operational teams and technical partners, translating organisational needs into well‑structured technical requirements.
- Analyse and improve processes, workflows, and data flows to support major strategic and technology‑driven initiatives.
- Produce documentation to support procurement, configuration, development, and testing activities.
- Collaborate with developers, solution architects, and stakeholders to ensure effective, aligned solutions.
- Support implementation with testing, user readiness, communications input, and benefits tracking.
Job Description
Responsibilities of the role:
- Engage with internal teams to define scope, gather requirements, and understand current challenges and opportunities.
- Run workshops and discovery sessions to capture functional and non‑functional requirements, converting them into clear deliverables such as technical specs, data definitions, and process maps.
- Analyse systems usage, operational workflows, and data structures to identify inefficiencies and provide recommendations.
- Support evaluation of new solutions by assessing risks, cost considerations, feasibility, and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Produce documentation for development, testing, and change activities, ensuring clarity and traceability throughout delivery.
- Assist with testing phases, including test case creation, validation, and user/business acceptance.
- Provide input and support for training materials, communications plans, and change management activities.
- Monitor adoption post‑launch and highlight opportunities for further optimisation.
Experience and Skills Required
- 3+ years' experience in a Business Analyst role across digital, systems, or process‑focused environments.
- Strong process mapping, technical documentation, and requirements‑gathering abilities.
- Experience analysing workflows and systems such as CRM, case management, fundraising, finance, or data platforms.
- Strong capability in turning data insights into actionable recommendations.
- Experience supporting system implementation or large‑scale change initiatives.
- Clear, confident communication skills with the ability to work across complex stakeholder groups.
- Comfortable working in structured or agile delivery frameworks.
