Service Desk Analyst (L1)

Location: Dublin (Fully On-Site)
Contract: 6 Months (Strong Likelihood of Extension)

I'm currently working with a well-established organisation in the public sector that is expanding its internal IT support function. They are looking for an experienced and personable Level 1 Service Desk Analyst to provide first-line technical support to users across multiple locations.

This is a busy, customer-focused environment, where you'll be the first point of contact for IT queries, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle IT support requests via phone, email, and ticketing system (ServiceNow).

  • Troubleshoot issues related to Windows 10/11, Office 365, and basic networking.

  • Support end-users with account access, password resets, and device issues.

  • Escalate complex incidents to Level 2 and infrastructure teams.

  • Assist with hardware setup, onboarding/offboarding, and inventory management.

  • Maintain and contribute to internal knowledge base documentation.

🧩 About You:

  • 1+ year in a service desk or first-line IT support role.

  • Confident communicator with a friendly, solution-driven mindset.

  • Experience using an ITSM tool (ServiceNow preferred).

  • Solid working knowledge of Office 365, Windows OS, and basic troubleshooting.

  • Understanding of Active Directory and ITIL practices is beneficial.
