I'm currently working with a well-established organisation in the public sector that is expanding its internal IT support function. They are looking for an experienced and personable Level 1 Service Desk Analyst to provide first-line technical support to users across multiple locations.

This is a busy, customer-focused environment, where you'll be the first point of contact for IT queries, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution.

Handle IT support requests via phone, email, and ticketing system (ServiceNow).

Troubleshoot issues related to Windows 10/11, Office 365, and basic networking.

Support end-users with account access, password resets, and device issues.

Escalate complex incidents to Level 2 and infrastructure teams.

Assist with hardware setup, onboarding/offboarding, and inventory management.

Maintain and contribute to internal knowledge base documentation.

1+ year in a service desk or first-line IT support role.

Confident communicator with a friendly, solution-driven mindset.

Experience using an ITSM tool (ServiceNow preferred).

Solid working knowledge of Office 365, Windows OS, and basic troubleshooting.

Understanding of Active Directory and ITIL practices is beneficial.

Consistent, long-term contract work with realistic extensions.
