About the Role
A leading FinTech provider is modernising its global cloud footprint and requires a Cloud Security Architect to design, implement, and govern cloud security standards across multi‑cloud estates. You will be the senior technical authority shaping how secure‑by‑design cloud services are built.
Key Responsibilities

About the Role
Our client, a leading gaming company, is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer Contractor to support a large-scale merger and acquisition integration. The organisation has recently acquired a studio with a significantly different technology estate, and now requires a specialist to help consolidate, secure, and stabilise the combined network infrastructure.
This role is critical in ensuring the security, interoperability, and reliability of both legacy and acquired networks during the integration phase.
Key Responsibilities
Network Security Integration & Hardening
Assess, analyse, and map the acquired company's network and security architecture.Identify vulnerabilities, configuration drift, and conflicting standards across environments.Design and implement secure network integration strategies that align with corporate policies and gaming industry best practices.Strengthen perimeter security, segmentation, and internal traffic controls to ensure a stable post‑M&A environment.Infrastructure Consolidation & Modernisation
Lead the integration of disparate firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and network monitoring tooling.Support migration of security controls, policies, and configurations into the parent company's environment.Advise on standardisation of network technologies and tooling across both estates.Operational Security Support
Respond to and investigate network security incidents throughout the integration period.Optimise logging, SIEM visibility, alerting configurations, and incident response workflows.Provide expert-level troubleshooting of complex network and security issues, especially those arising from inter-environment connectivity.Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
Produce clear, detailed documentation of new network security architectures, configurations, and procedures.Provide knowledge transfer to in‑house infrastructure and security teams.Support creation of new unified network and security standards for the combined organisation.Technical Skills & Experience
Essential
7+ years' experience in network security engineering within complex, multi‑site environments.Strong hands-on expertise with:Next‑generation firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point)VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN, Zero Trust solutions)Network segmentation and micro‑segmentationLoad balancers and web application firewallsIDS/IPS platformsProven experience of M&A network integration or multi‑environment consolidation.Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, BGP/OSPF, DNS, DHCP, and network diagnostics.Experience with SIEM, log management, and security monitoring platforms.Comfortable with both traditional on‑prem networks and cloud-connected environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).Desirable
