Cloud Engineer (Remote from the Island of Ireland)
We are partnering with an organisation that is continuing to invest in its cloud capabilities and is looking to hire an experienced Cloud Engineer with a strong Azure background.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of cloud infrastructure projects, helping to design, build and support secure, scalable, and automated cloud environments. You'll collaborate with technical teams to deliver modern cloud solutions while contributing to infrastructure automation, operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain cloud infrastructure and services within Microsoft Azure.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to support repeatable, scalable deployments.
- Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient and reliable application and infrastructure delivery.
- Contribute to the design of secure, resilient and highly available cloud solutions.
- Support cloud operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, performance optimisation and maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-based solutions across a range of projects.
- Promote cloud best practices relating to security, automation, governance and operational excellence.
- Stay up to date with emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.
Desired Experience
- Strong experience working with Microsoft Azure services.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, Azure Bicep, AWS CloudFormation, CDK or similar.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline or equivalent platforms.
