The Master Control Engineer is responsible for the monitoring, operation, and maintenance of broadcast transmission systems within a master control environment. This role ensures uninterrupted, high-quality delivery of video, audio, and data signals across broadcast platforms. The engineer plays a critical role in maintaining operational continuity, responding to technical issues, and supporting both scheduled and live programming.
Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and control outgoing broadcast signals to ensure consistent quality and compliance with technical standardsOperate and manage playout and automation systems for scheduled programming and live eventsIdentify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues in real time to prevent or minimize disruptionsPerform routine system checks, maintenance, and diagnostics on broadcast equipmentManage signal routing and switching across multiple sources and destinationsEnsure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and quality standardsMaintain accurate logs of incidents, technical faults, and corrective actionsCoordinate with production, engineering, and operations teams to ensure seamless transmissionImplement redundancy, failover processes, and backup systems to ensure high availabilityAssist in system upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement initiativesRequired Skills & QualificationsStrong understanding of broadcast systems, video/audio signal flow, and transmission technologiesExperience with playout automation systems and broadcast control equipmentAbility to troubleshoot technical issues under pressure in a live environmentFamiliarity with IP-based broadcasting and digital media workflows (preferred)Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirementsExcellent attention to detail and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and teamwork abilities

10+ years in large enterprise or service‑provider networking.
Expert knowledge of ISIS, MPLS, Segment Routing, and advanced BGP.
Strong experience with multi‑VRF, QoS, traffic shaping, IPAM, DNS, DHCP.
Understanding of firewalls, VPNs, TACACS, ISE, and network security principles.
Automation experience with Python, Bash, or Ansible.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering preferred.
Professional certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) are a plus.
Cloud networking experience (AWS/Azure) is beneficial.

We are looking for a Broadcast Master Control Engineer to join our team and oversee live broadcast operations. This position ensures the quality, accuracy, and seamless continuity of broadcast content, including managing commercials, playlists, and real-time troubleshooting. The role requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays in alignment with the broadcast schedule.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct quality assurance (QA) of media content for live broadcasts.Manage playlists/logs and execute commercial breaks during live events.Monitor and ensure the quality and integrity of video/audio feeds.Ensure accurate and timely execution of commercials and sponsorships.Generate post-event reports and communicate any issues to relevant teams.QualificationsRequired:
Experience in broadcast master control or live media operations.Ability to perform real-time QA and resolve issues during live events.Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.Preferred:
Previous experience with live sports broadcasts (preferably MLB).Familiarity with broadcast automation systems and playlist management.Tools & SystemsThe role involves using industry-standard tools such as Florical, Imagine Communications, Evertz, Harmonic, and Ross Video for playlist management, commercial execution, and real-time broadcast adjustments.
