Senior Business Analyst - Video & Media Operations

Location : Philadelphia

Job Summary

The Senior Business Analyst - Video & Media Operations supports process improvement and operational effectiveness initiatives across the video ecosystem, including content distribution, media operations, platforms, and supporting technologies. This role leads discovery, documentation, and analysis of business processes, systems, and performance metrics to help stakeholders improve efficiency, scalability, and viewer experience.

Partnering with business leaders, operations teams, and technical stakeholders, the Senior Business Analyst translates complex workflows and data into clear, actionable insights that support decision‑making and continuous improvement across video and media operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document end‑to‑end business processes across video operations, including content ingest, encoding, distribution, monetization, and platform support.
  • Analyze operational metrics and dashboards (e.g., content delivery performance, quality, throughput, issue trends) to identify risks, opportunities, and improvement areas.
  • Synthesize discovery sessions, system interactions, and data insights into clear process documentation, process maps, and written narratives.
  • Produce concise summaries, presentations, and visual materials to communicate findings to leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Track action items, dependencies, and follow‑ups across multiple concurrent initiatives to support timely delivery.
  • Ensure analysis outputs are accurate, consistent, and aligned to documentation standards and data‑handling policies.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong business analysis and documentation skills, with the ability to translate complex media and technical workflows into clear artifacts.
  • Experience analyzing operational metrics and connecting data insights to business processes.
  • Familiarity with video or media environments (e.g., streaming, broadcast, content operations, ad tech, or platform ecosystems) strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to engage technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to work independently in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments with multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with process mapping tools, documentation platforms, and presentation tools.

  • Partner closely with video operations, product, engineering, data, and leadership teams.
  • Adapt communication style for diverse audiences, from operations teams to senior executives.
  • Proactively communicate status, risks, and insights to keep initiatives on track.
  • Contribute to team knowledge‑sharing and continuous improvement of analysis and documentation practices.
