Senior Project Manager (Fintech / Payments / AI Platform)

Location: Remote (U.S., Eastern Time preferred)
Duration: 12-month contract (likely extension/available for FTE turnover)

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead high-impact initiatives within a large payments technology environment. This role sits at the center of multiple cross-functional teams and will drive delivery of AI-enabled capabilities across a proprietary point-of-sale (POS) platform.

You'll be working on high-visibility projects with leadership exposure, helping bring together engineering, data, and business teams to deliver new features that improve how businesses track performance and make decisions.

What You'll Do

  • Own end-to-end delivery of complex projects across multiple teams (engineering, data, product, infrastructure)
  • Manage timelines, dependencies, risks, and overall execution to ensure successful delivery
  • Work closely with Scrum Masters and Agile teams, maintaining alignment across workstreams
  • Partner with risk, compliance, and security teams to ensure all requirements are built into delivery
  • Drive stakeholder communication, including updates to senior leadership and executives
  • Support rollout of AI-driven features and analytics capabilities within a payments/POS platform
  • Ensure projects are aligned to business goals, KPIs, and overall strategy

What We're Looking For

  • 5-8+ years of experience in project or program management
  • Background in payments, fintech, or payment platforms
  • Experience working in regulated environments (risk, compliance, security)
  • Proven track record managing large, cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong ability to balance detailed execution with big-picture alignment
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working with senior stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Experience with POS systems or merchant-facing platforms
  • Exposure to AI, data, or analytics-driven product initiatives
  • Familiarity with Agile environments and working across multiple delivery teams
