What You'll Be Doing
- Installing, routing, and maintaining fibre optic and copper cabling
- Performing cable management, labelling, and documentation activities
- Assisting with network and server hardware installations
- Supporting troubleshooting and maintenance of infrastructure equipment
- Conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks
- Following operational, safety, and quality standards within the data centre
- Working with senior technicians to resolve hardware and connectivity issues
- Supporting inventory management and asset tracking processes
What We're Looking For
- Strong interest in IT infrastructure, networking, or data centre technologies
- Knowledge of fibre optics, structured cabling, or network fundamentals is advantageous
- Relevant technical qualification, apprenticeship, certification, or hands-on experience
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced technical environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work in a hands-on operational environment
Nice to Have
- Basic understanding of fibre optic installation and testing
- Experience with structured cabling standards
- Networking certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent
- Previous experience in IT support, telecommunications, or technical operations
