Role Summary

We are seeking Quality Assurance Engineer I (Contractor) professionals to support in-studio broadcast master control operations for MLB Local Media. These roles are based on site in the Denver/Centennial area and are responsible for ensuring broadcast quality, commercial execution, and continuity of live Major League Baseball game feeds.

This position requires individuals who are detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a live broadcast environment during nights, weekends, and holidays, aligned with MLB game schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Perform quality assurance (QA) of incoming and outgoing media content to ensure technical and editorial readiness for airOperate within a broadcast master control environment supporting live MLB gamesEnsure key commercial breaks and sponsorship elements air accurately and on timeMonitor and verify the integrity of live video and audio feeds throughout game broadcastsAdjust and manage playlists and logs in real time, including accommodating rain delays or schedule changesRun commercial breaks during live sports programming with precision and adherence to client requirementsTrack sponsorship placements and fulfill contractual obligations during broadcastsProduce and distribute ** detailed post-event and exception reports** to internal stakeholders and clientsCommunicate promptly with operations, engineering, and client teams regarding any on-air issuesMaintain high standards of accuracy, compliance, and professionalism in a fast-paced live environment

Business Need / Investment Justification

This role is critical to maintaining and strengthening our ongoing relationship with our MLB Local Media customer. Ensuring accurate execution of live broadcasts, commercial inventory, and sponsorship fulfillment directly supports client satisfaction, revenue integrity, and long-term partnership growth.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

Experience in broadcast master control, transmission, or live media operationsDemonstrated ability to perform real-time QA and troubleshooting during live eventsStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks under time-sensitive conditionsAvailability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as dictated by MLB schedulesHigh level of professionalism, reliability, and accountability

Preferred

Prior experience supporting live sports broadcasts, ideally MLBFamiliarity with broadcast automation systems and playlist managementExperience generating client-facing operational or compliance reports

Additional Information

This role is ideal for mature, responsible talent capable of working independently in a live broadcast settingFinal details regarding shift structure and weekly hours will be clarified during a Spotlight session with the Hiring Manager
