Broadcast Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor on-air programming and support day-to-day Master Control Operations.
- Perform quality control of programming, commercials, marketing content, audio, video, captions, and picture quality.
- Maintain and modify on-air playlists and execute program, commercial, and promotional changes.
- Support live events, commercial rehearsals, contingency workflows, and event preparation.
- Monitor and maintain 150+ channel streams, identifying inconsistencies or potential issues.
- Ensure all programming and media assets are properly prepared and ready for on-air playout.
- Manage commercial breaks and ensure accurate commercial integration during live and taped programming.
- Quickly identify, troubleshoot, and respond to on-air discrepancies.
- Collaborate with Operations Supervisors and other Master Control Operators to recover from transmission or programming issues.
- Communicate clearly with production teams and execute requested changes to automation playlists.
- Work with broadcast automation platforms such as SNELL Morpheus and Amagi.
- Follow established Network Operations Center procedures, company policies, and operational standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma with relevant certification, Associate's Degree in Media/Communications, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience or knowledge in broadcast operations, television production, digital media, post-production, or production control.
- Understanding of technical requirements associated with news, sports, entertainment, or television production.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies or potential on-air issues.
- Ability to make quick decisions and remain composed in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability and willingness to work 24/7 schedules, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be willing to work fully onsite in Centennial, CO.
- Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
