AI Engineer

join at a pivotal moment and build something meaningful from the ground up.
THE ROLE
This is a senior individual contributor and team leadership position sitting at the intersection of
engineering and applied AI. You will report directly to the Managing Director and lead a team of 6,
responsible for designing, building, and deploying AI-powered solutions that transform how the
business and its clients operate. You will be hands-on in the build while setting technical direction
for the team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Architect and deliver agentic AI systems on GCP using Gemini models - from prototyping
through to production.
* Lead and develop a team of 6 engineers, setting technical standards, conducting code reviews,
and unblocking delivery.
* Partner with the MD and senior stakeholders to shape the AI product roadmap and translate
business priorities into engineering deliverables.
* Design and implement multi-agent workflows, RAG pipelines, and LLM-integrated tools that
serve internal teams and client-facing products.
* Own the AI infrastructure on GCP - Vertex AI, Cloud Run, BigQuery ML, and associated data
pipelines.
* Evaluate and integrate emerging tools, frameworks, and APIs - keeping the business at the
leading edge of applied AI.
* Champion responsible AI practices including model evaluation, bias testing, and governance
frameworks.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required
* 5+ years in software or ML engineering
* Hands-on GCP experience (Vertex AI, Cloud
Run, GCS)
* Production-level work with Gemini or
comparable LLMs
* Agentic AI system design and deployment
* Python proficiency; LangChain, CrewAI or
similar
* Prior experience leading or mentoring a team
Nice to have
* Background in a fast-paced commercial or
agency environment
* Experience with Google Workspace APIs
* Familiarity with Looker, dbt or BigQuery
* Contributions to open-source AI projects
* GCP Professional certifications
