We're seeking a senior AI Software Engineer with a strong software engineering background to help shape the safe and effective adoption of AI-assisted development within a large-scale enterprise environment.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of software engineering, AWS cloud platforms, developer tooling, security, DevOps, and AI engineering. You'll help define the controls, tooling, governance, and engineering practices required to enable the use of technologies such as GitHub Copilot and other AI-powered development tools at scale.

Working as part of a cross-functional engineering team, you'll combine hands-on development, technical research, prototyping, and platform engineering to improve developer productivity while maintaining security, governance, and operational standards.

The RoleEvaluate and implement safe approaches for adopting AI-assisted development tools, including GitHub CopilotDesign and build engineering controls, guardrails, and governance patterns for AI-enabled software developmentDevelop tooling, automation, observability, and telemetry capabilities to support enterprise adoptionHelp define standards across development environments, cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelinesContribute to modern developer experience initiatives, including containerised and cloud-based development environmentsEssential SkillsStrong hands-on Software Engineering backgroundExperience developing applications and engineering solutions within AWS environmentsSolid understanding of AWS services, cloud-native architectures, and developer toolingStrong knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps tooling, and software delivery practicesDesirable ExperienceExperience implementing or supporting GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development toolsKnowledge of secure development environments, software governance, and policy enforcementExperience with containerisation technologies and developer platformsExposure to telemetry, analytics, monitoring, and reporting pipelinesExperience working within complex enterprise or regulated environmentsData engineering, analytics, or insight generation experienceUnderstanding of platform engineering and developer experience (DevEx) principles
