This is a hands-on position requiring focus, accuracy, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining exceptional quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform precision assembly of fiber optic components using table-mounted tools and specialized equipment.
  • Execute fiber cut, strip, clean, and preparation processes according to established work instructions and specifications.
  • Work under microscopes and magnification equipment to assemble and inspect small, delicate components.
  • Follow visual work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and production documentation.
  • Capture required photos and complete basic production records accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and contamination-free work environment.
  • Support production goals while adhering to quality and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with Fiber Technicians and other team members within a designated production area.
  • Identify potential process issues and report concerns to supervisors or technicians.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
  • Ability to work with very small parts and components for extended periods.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and recordkeeping.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new processes and techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in small-parts assembly, manufacturing, or production environments.
  • Experience in one or more of the following industries:
    • Fiber optics
    • Electronics manufacturing
    • PCB assembly
    • Medical device manufacturing
    • Semiconductor or cleanroom environments
  • Experience working with microscopes, precision tools, or delicate materials.

What Makes a Successful Fiber Operator?

  • Exceptional attention to detail and consistency.
  • Strong manual dexterity and precision handling skills.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Reliable attendance and strong teamwork skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Position Scope

Fiber Operators are skilled production professionals focused on executing defined assembly and preparation processes. While they play a critical role in product quality, this position does not include responsibilities such as:

  • Making final product acceptance or rejection decisions.
  • Interpreting engineering tolerances or specifications independently.
  • Performing final technical measurements or quality sign-offs.
  • Owning pass/fail quality determinations.

These responsibilities are handled by designated Technicians, Quality personnel, or Engineering teams.

Why Join Us?

  • Opportunity to work with advanced fiber optic technology.
  • Hands-on technical manufacturing experience.
  • Career growth and advancement opportunities into Technician-level roles.
  • Collaborative and quality-driven work environment.
  • Comprehensive training and ongoing skill development.
