Instructional Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer / Learning Experience Designer to create impactful learning solutions for a global technical audience. This role will focus on designing and developing engaging learning experiences across multiple modalities, partnering with stakeholders to drive measurable performance improvements, and translating complex technical concepts into effective, learner-centered content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with SMEs, Program Managers, and business stakeholders to identify learning needs and drive measurable behavior change.
  • Design and develop e-learning courses, instructor-led training (ILT), job aids, how-to videos, and hands-on assessments.
  • Apply ADDIE and Agile methodologies throughout the end-to-end content development lifecycle.
  • Translate complex technical and data center concepts into clear, engaging, and effective learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with SMEs and training communities to ensure content accuracy, quality, and relevance.
  • Leverage learner feedback, performance data, and analytics to continuously improve learning solutions.
  • Utilise AI-assisted design tools to accelerate content development and personalise learning experiences.
  • Create engaging graphics, illustrations, multimedia assets, and other supporting learning materials.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Instructional Design, Learning Experience Design, Learning & Development, or a related field.
  • Proven experience developing ILT, e-learning, video-based learning, and blended learning solutions.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and on-the-job learning practices.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and working effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and their application in learning design and content development.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts and communicate them effectively to diverse audiences.

Desirable

  • Experience administering or supporting Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training reporting.
  • Knowledge of UX, interaction design, or learner experience design principles.
  • Experience using learner analytics and data-driven insights to improve training effectiveness.
  • Exposure to front-end web development technologies and digital content creation tools.
  • Experience designing learning solutions for technical, engineering, or data center environments.
