The Role

We're recruiting for an experienced Integration Developer to join a leading UK organisation delivering critical data and system integration initiatives.

This role will focus on designing, developing, and supporting enterprise integration solutions that enable secure and reliable data exchange between business-critical systems. You will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and third-party suppliers to build robust, scalable integrations across the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and support enterprise integration solutions.Build and maintain ETL and data integration pipelines.Develop integrations between internal and external systems using APIs and messaging technologies.Create data mappings, transformation rules, and message schemas.Configure and support Azure integration services and middleware platforms.Troubleshoot integration failures and implement effective resolutions.Produce technical documentation, integration designs, and support artifacts.Participate in integration testing, system testing, and deployment activities.Collaborate with developers, business analysts, architects, and stakeholders.Essential Skills & ExperienceActive SC Clearance (must already be in place).Proven commercial experience as an Integration Developer, Integration Engineer, or ETL Developer.Strong experience with:Azure Data Factory (ADF)Azure Logic AppsSQL ServerSSMSSSISAzure Service BusAzure FunctionsStrong SQL and T-SQL development skills.Experience designing and supporting ETL solutions.Hands-on experience with REST and SOAP integrations.Strong knowledge of:JSONXMLData MappingData TransformationAPI IntegrationsExperience troubleshooting and supporting production integration services.Experience working within Agile delivery environments.Desirable SkillsMuleSoftDell BoomiApache CamelAzure API Management (APIM)Dataverse / Dynamics 365 integrationsAzure SynapseEvent GridPower Platform integrationsCI/CD using Azure DevOps

Design data mappings, transformations, and message schemas to facilitate the exchange of data between systemsDevelopment and Implementation: Develop, test, and deploy integration solutions using integration platforms, middleware, and programming languages. Write integration code, configure connectors, and implement error handling mechanisms to ensure data integrity and reliability.Integration Platforms and Tools: Work with integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or Apache Camel to build and deploy integration solutions. Configure integration flows, connectors, and APIs to connect to various systems and endpoints.Data Transformation and Mapping: Implement data transformation logic to convert data formats, structures, and protocols between source and target systems. Develop reusable components, functions, and templates to streamline data integration processes.Testing and Debugging: Conduct unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of integration solutions. Troubleshoot issues, debug errors, and implement fixes to ensure smooth operation of integration processes.Documentation and Reporting: Document integration designs, configurations, and implementation details to support ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting. Provide status updates, progress reports, and issue resolutions to project stakeholders and team members.Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure alignment of integration solutions with business requirements. Communicate technical concepts, project status, and risks effectively to key stakeholders.Continuous Learning: Stay updated on emerging technologies, integration patterns, and best practices in data integration. Participate in training programs, workshops, and knowledge sharing sessions to enhance your skills and expertise.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Proven experience as an integration developer or similar role with knowledge of data integration concepts and technologies.Familiarity with integration platforms and tools such as SSMS, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Logic AppsProficiency in programming languages such as SQL.Strong understanding of data formats, protocols, and standards (e.g., JSON, XML, REST, SOAP).Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality integration solutions.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
