Are you an experienced C/C++ Developer looking to work on complex, high-impact software products within a growing international technology company?

Our client is expanding their engineering team and is seeking a Senior C/C++ Developer to join a highly skilled, collaborative environment where innovation, technical excellence, and continuous improvement are at the core of everything they do.

This is a fully remote opportunity open to candidates across Ireland and the European Union.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance software applications using C and C++.
  • Collaborate with architects, product teams, and fellow engineers to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
  • Contribute to technical design and architectural decisions.
  • Optimise software performance, security, and maintainability.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement robust solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and promote best engineering practices.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to a strong engineering culture.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years' commercial experience developing software in C and C++.
  • Strong understanding of software design principles and modern development practices.
  • Experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation skills.
  • Experience working across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within distributed teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with distributed systems or high-availability applications.
  • Multithreaded and concurrent programming experience.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms and container technologies.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and automated testing practices.
