Business Analyst
Role Title: Business Analyst
Location: London - Hybrid (minimum 3 days per week onsite)
Role Category: Contract - Inside IR35
Contract Duration: 4 Months
Overview:
We're recruiting for an experienced Business Analyst to support business change and improvement initiatives, working closely with project managers, business stakeholders and delivery teams to define requirements and ensure solutions deliver measurable business value.
The successful candidate will bring strong experience across business analysis, requirements gathering, process improvement, testing and implementation, with recent experience relating to Awaab's Law and/or Damp & Mould being essential.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate, evaluate and document business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and value for money.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand pain points, gather insights and co-create effective solutions.
- Gather, define and prioritise business requirements through workshops, interviews and user insight.
- Produce user stories and acceptance criteria, supporting traceability from idea through to delivery.
- Lead and support testing activities, from test scripts through to outcomes, working with suppliers where required.
- Support training, user guides and handover to ensure smooth transition into business-as-usual.
- Manage small-scale projects or significant workstreams within larger programmes.
- Work closely with project managers, business stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure requirements and solutions are clearly understood.
- Use evidence and analysis to identify opportunities for service improvement and support effective business change.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years' experience in Business Analysis.
- Proven experience in requirements gathering and process improvement.
- Recent experience working on Awaab's Law and/or Damp & Mould-related initiatives - essential.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience supporting testing, training and implementation of new systems or services.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Excellent IT skills, including MS Visio, data and reporting systems.
- Experience working with business, project and technical/delivery teams.
- Ability to manage and deliver analysis across projects or significant workstreams.
Desirable Skills:
- Business Analysis or process improvement qualification.
- Experience working within housing, social housing or local government.
- Experience working with external suppliers.
- Agile/Scrum delivery experience.
- Experience supporting service transformation and business change.
- Previous experience line managing or mentoring junior analysts.
