Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Systems Engineer III to support a 5G RAN network operations team. This role focuses on monitoring, troubleshooting, maintaining, and restoring 5G network services while supporting new network deployments and transport initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in wireless network operations, outage management, and network troubleshooting within a fast-paced telecom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide operational support to identify network incidents, troubleshoot issues, and implement resolutions across 5G Core, RAN, and Transport networks.
* Analyze service-impacting issues, determine corrective actions, restore services, and escalate complex problems when required.
* Document troubleshooting activities and maintain accurate ticketing records.
* Support network reliability initiatives through process improvements and automation opportunities.
* Collaborate with network engineers, technicians, field operations teams, and vendors during outage situations.
* Engage internal and external support teams to resolve critical network impairments.
* Collect and analyze network traces using vendor-specific tools.
* Create and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and operational procedures.
* Assist in planning and supporting new technology deployments and network enhancements.
* Support automation, orchestration, and continuous improvement initiatives within network operations.
* Perform scheduled maintenance activities and document all changes accurately.
* Conduct root cause analysis and provide recommendations to improve network performance and reliability.

Required Qualifications:

* Ability to work on-site in the Atlanta market.
* OSHA 10 Certification and RF Awareness preferred.
* Experience with wireless network deployment, integration, or operations in a 5G environment.
* Minimum 2 years of experience with transport network troubleshooting, including fronthaul and backhaul technologies.
* Experience with alarm monitoring, fault isolation, incident management, and escalation procedures.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in high-pressure environments.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Knowledge of computer systems, network monitoring applications, OSI model, and electronic test equipment.
* Strong understanding of cell site topology, transport systems, RF KPIs, and 5G RAN architecture.
* Ability to interpret network diagrams, deployment documentation, and operational procedures.
* Experience performing root cause analysis (RCA) and preparing technical reports.
* Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly while managing multiple priorities.
