Infrastructure Manager
We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Utility Infrastructure Manager to support large-scale industrial and logistics site development projects across multiple markets. This role will focus on power and utility due diligence, utility coordination, capacity analysis, and real estate-related utility infrastructure reviews to ensure successful site delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct power and utility due diligence for new development sites, including load letter submissions, service territory research, and substation/feeder capacity assessments.
- Evaluate utility service feasibility, interconnection requirements, service extensions, and electrical infrastructure constraints.
- Review utility easements, rights-of-way (ROW), title reports, access agreements, and other property encumbrances that may impact site development.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison with electric utilities, municipal agencies, surveyors, title companies, legal teams, and engineering stakeholders.
- Coordinate pre-application meetings, utility site visits, and ongoing utility engagement activities.
- Track and manage multiple concurrent projects, maintaining schedules, utility engagement logs, due diligence reports, and portfolio trackers.
- Support infrastructure planning related to distributed energy resources (DER), backup generation, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and temporary power solutions when applicable.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of experience in utility planning, utility design, electrical engineering, power infrastructure, transmission & distribution (T&D), or utility service planning.
- Strong understanding of load forecasting, load letter submissions, interconnection processes, utility capacity studies, substations, and distribution feeders.
- Experience analyzing utility service availability and supporting site development or infrastructure expansion projects.
- Working knowledge of utility easements, rights-of-way, title reports, and real estate development considerations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
