Embedded Software Engineer
Build the Next Generation of Connected Technology
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to help develop the software that powers next-generation connected devices and intelligent hardware platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative products at the intersection of software, hardware, and cloud technologies.
We're looking for engineers who enjoy solving complex technical problems and building reliable, high-performance software. Candidates with experience in embedded software, systems software, device software, IoT, consumer electronics, cloud-connected devices, automotive technology, networking, or platform engineering are encouraged to apply.
Engineers who are currently working at Amazon or have previous Amazon experience are especially encouraged to apply.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and enhance software for connected devices and hardware platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, product, and systems engineering.
- Develop and maintain software that enables reliable device functionality and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software and system-level issues.
- Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Support product integration, testing, validation, and deployment.
- Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and technical planning.
- Contribute to engineering best practices and mentor team members when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- experience in software engineering, embedded software, systems software, platform engineering, or a related field.
- Current or previous experience at Amazon is highly valued.
- Strong programming experience in one or more modern programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Java, or similar.
- Experience building software for hardware devices, operating systems, platforms, or large-scale technical systems.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional engineering teams.
