Join an innovative technology team building the automation backbone behind next-generation intelligent systems. This position focuses on creating seamless deployment pipelines, scalable infrastructure, and observability solutions to support advanced machine learning and AI workloads. Role: Senior AI Platform & Automation Engineer

Type: Permanent/Contract role

Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid)

What You'll Do:

Design, implement, and maintain automated build and release pipelines to accelerate delivery cycles.Develop and manage infrastructure through code-driven provisioning and version-controlled configuration.Build and support container-based systems, optimizing workloads for compute-intensive AI applications.Implement automated security, policy compliance, and performance monitoring solutions.Integrate lifecycle automation for model training, testing, and deployment workflows.Optimize cloud environments for cost, scalability, and operational resilience.

What We're Looking For:

5-7+ years of hands-on experience in cloud automation, DevOps, or reliability engineering.Expertise with modern CI/CD tooling (must have Azure DevOps) and code-driven infrastructure management.Proven background in container orchestration and distributed system operations.Familiarity with machine learning platform automation and monitoring practices.Strong scripting and automation skills using one or more programming languages.Understanding of secure development practices, system observability, and infrastructure governance.Preferred certifications or experience in cloud platforms, container orchestration, or DevOps methodologies.

Nice to Have:

Exposure to GPU-based compute environments or performance-sensitive workloads.Experience with policy-driven automation and infrastructure compliance.Background in serverless architectures or distributed AI infrastructure design.

PURPOSE OF POST:

Experienced Microsoft / Azure Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist to design, build, and support BI solutions across the Microsoft stack, including SSAS, SSRS, and Power BI. The post holder will play a key role in delivering high-quality, enterprise-grade analytics for platforms, while also enabling integration with third-party reporting tools such as Tableau and Amazon QuickSight. The successful candidate will have strong proficiency in SQL and DAX, a solid understanding of Azure data architecture, and experience working in a cross-functional team comprising engineers, analysts, and product stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES

Microsoft BI Stack

Strong hands-on experience with SSAS (both multidimensional and tabular model development)Experience developing and maintaining SSRS data models and paginated reportsExpertise with Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, measures, and visual design

Azure Data Platform

Familiarity with Azure SQL DB, Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, and Azure Analysis ServicesExperience managing data refresh strategies, gateways, and Power BI service deploymentsAbility to design secure reporting environments with row-level security, role-based access, and Azure AD integration

Integration & Interoperability

Data Engineering & Modelling

Role Summary

Core ResponsibilitiesIT Operations

On-Call & Escalation: Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation providing out-of-hours support for critical incidents impacting 24/7 operations.

User Support: Provide technical support to users through the organisation's IT service management platform, ensuring issues are logged, tracked, and resolved efficiently.

Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Contribute to the design and testing of DR and BC plans, ensuring compliance with recovery time and recovery point objectives.

Required Qualifications & Experience

5+ years' experience in an IT infrastructure engineering and support role.
