Project: ION - Network Data Platform Modernisation
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master / Agile Practitioner to support enterprise Agile delivery teams working on Project ION, a strategic initiative focused on transforming network data platforms and digital infrastructure capabilities.
This role sits within a highly collaborative engineering environment, partnering with Product Owners, Engineering Leaders, Architects, and cross-functional teams to enable successful delivery of complex technology initiatives.
The ideal candidate is not just a Scrum facilitator - we are looking for an Agile leader who can coach teams, improve delivery practices, remove obstacles, influence stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement.
About the Team & ProjectThe team is responsible for modernising how network data is represented, managed, and leveraged across the organisation.
Key initiatives include:Modernising digital representation of network infrastructureSupporting current HFC (Hybrid Fiber Coaxial) capabilities and future Fiber network evolutionRebuilding platforms using modern data architecture principlesImproving data governance, ownership, transparency, and qualityDeveloping future capabilities such as graph-based network representation and enhanced system integrationThis is an opportunity to support a major enterprise technology transformation initiative.
ResponsibilitiesFacilitate Agile ceremonies including:Sprint PlanningDaily Stand-upsSprint ReviewsRetrospectivesBacklog RefinementScrum of ScrumsPI Planning / ART ceremoniesCoach teams on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvementPartner with Product Owners on backlog prioritisation, refinement, and delivery planningIdentify and remove blockers impacting deliveryManage risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges across teamsSupport SAFe Agile practices within an enterprise environmentTrack and communicate Agile delivery metrics (velocity, burndown, team performance)Drive improvements in team maturity, collaboration, and delivery effectivenessCollaborate closely with Engineering Managers, RTEs, Product Owners, and stakeholdersRequired Skills & Experience5+ years' experience as a Scrum Master / Agile PractitionerStrong understanding of Agile Scrum and SAFe frameworkExperience supporting enterprise-scale delivery teamsProven ability to coach teams and improve Agile maturityExperience working with engineering, product, and cross-functional teamsStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsExperience managing:DependenciesRisksBlockersDelivery reportingTools (Hands-on Experience Required)JiraConfluenceAzure DevOpsPreferred ExperienceSAFe Scrum Master certificationCertified Scrum Master (CSM)Experience supporting large-scale transformation initiativesBackground in telecommunications, networking, or infrastructureExperience working with complex data platforms or engineering environmentsWhat Makes a Strong Candidate?A strong candidate can effectively support Scrum teams and Agile practices.
