Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager / Solution Architect to support the ongoing development of telecommunications-based solutions designed to combat fraud, scam calls, scam texts, and other nuisance communications.

This is a highly visible role requiring a blend of telecommunications expertise, technical architecture, stakeholder engagement, project delivery, and supplier management. Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Architecture

Gather and define business, operational, and regulatory requirements for enhancements to existing telecommunications systems and databases.Translate requirements into technical specifications, solution designs, process documentation, and user guidance materials.Design and propose new technical interventions to address emerging fraud and communications security threats.Develop processes and technical frameworks supporting future telecommunications initiatives.

Technical Project Delivery

Manage projects from requirements gathering through design, development, testing, deployment, and operational handover.Act as the technical authority throughout delivery, providing guidance and resolving technical issues.Coordinate implementation activities and ensure successful rollout of new functionality.Manage project documentation, testing, governance, and stakeholder communications.

Stakeholder & Supplier Management

Engage with a broad range of stakeholders across industry, business, technical, and regulatory environments.Work closely with third-party technology and database providers to validate requirements and oversee delivery.Facilitate workshops, forums, working groups, and stakeholder meetings.Present technical concepts and project updates to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Data & Reporting

Develop and improve data management strategies for operational databases.Recommend and implement enhancements to reporting, analytics, and business intelligence capabilities.Support the development of dashboards, reporting tools, and data-driven decision-making processes.

Procurement Support

Contribute to technology procurement activities, including requirements definition, tender preparation, supplier evaluation, and solution assessment.

Essential Experience

Candidates should demonstrate:

Significant experience within the telecommunications industry.Strong knowledge of Voice and SMS services, including network design and/or operations.Experience working with telecom operators, network providers, regulators, vendors, or communications technology organisations.Proven experience delivering complex technical projects from initiation through implementation.Strong solution architecture and technical design experience.Ability to produce detailed technical specifications and documentation for both technical teams and business users.Experience managing third-party suppliers and development teams.Experience working in multi-stakeholder environments.

Technical Skills

Telecommunications standards and frameworks including:

Desirable Experience
