A growing Projects Division within a large organisation is undergoing a significant transformation to standardise delivery, improve governance, and enhance performance visibility across its construction and engineering portfolio.
To support this, a Transformation Portfolio has been established, comprising six strategic programmes focused on:
Standardising core delivery processesEnhancing digital tools and data visibilityStrengthening financial and commercial controlsEmbedding consistent governance and complianceWe are seeking two experienced Transformation Programme Managers to join a central Transformation Team. These roles will play a critical part in delivering strategic change across the division.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage one or more transformation programmes or related workstreamsCoordinate delivery across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectivesWork closely with business leaders, SMEs, and functional teams to implement change incrementallyMaximise value from limited leadership and SME capacity through structured programme deliveryManage internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure effective deliveryDrive adoption of standardised processes, governance frameworks, and controlsProvide clear reporting on progress, risks, and performance across the programme lifecycleSupport implementation of solutions across operational, commercial, finance, and support functionsAbout YouWe are looking for hands-on Programme Managers who thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments and can drive practical delivery-not just advisory input.
Essential ExperienceStrong experience in change and transformation deliveryProven capability managing complex programmes or portfoliosExperience working on or alongside IT/IS projectsComfortable working within waterfall delivery modelsConfident engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to operate effectively in an immature or developing transformation environmentDemonstrated hands-on approach to deliveryDesirable ExperienceConstruction or engineering sector backgroundEnergy or utilities industry experienceFinance, commercial, or procurement process knowledgeExperience with AI-related projectsEstablishing centres of excellenceDesigning and implementing governance frameworks and controlsQualificationsProject or Programme Management certifications (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP, PMP) - desirableAdditional InformationContractors will be embedded within a central Transformation TeamAllocation across programmes will depend on priorities and individual experienceNo specific compliance or health & safety risks identifiedReportingReporting into the Head of Transformation / Programme Leadership
