Network Engineer (CCNP Level) | Contract | Cork

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join a high-performing technology team responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-scale network infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled networking professional with strong expertise in routing, switching, wireless technologies, and network automation to contribute to critical infrastructure initiatives within a complex enterprise environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure.Deploy and support Wireless Access Points and Wireless Controllers.Design and support Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking solutions across campus and data center environments.Develop and implement network automation solutions to improve efficiency and scalability.Automate routine operational tasks using scripting and orchestration tools.Monitor, optimize, and enhance network performance, availability, and security.Troubleshoot complex networking issues and perform detailed root cause analysis.Support network integration, migration, and deployment projects.Create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.Participate in change management, incident response, and continuous improvement activities.Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and engineering teams across multiple initiatives.Required Skills & ExperienceNetworkingCCNP-level networking knowledge and experience.Strong expertise in:VLANsVRRPMC-LAGSTPVTPPortChannelOSPFBGPProven experience designing and troubleshooting enterprise networks.Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network security principles.Experience working with leading networking vendors, including:CiscoDellAristaJuniperNetwork AutomationHands-on experience with network automation technologies.Strong scripting skills using:PythonAnsibleSimilar automation frameworksExperience utilizing REST APIs and network programmability concepts.Additional Technical Expertise
