The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Senior NetBackup Solution Architect to join a specialist Professional Services team delivering complex enterprise data protection and cyber resilience solutions across highly regulated customer environments.
This is a customer-facing architecture and consulting role, where you will lead technical engagements from discovery and design through to implementation and knowledge transfer. You will work directly with enterprise customers, acting as a trusted advisor to define backup, recovery, and cyber resilience strategies that align with business and operational objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead technical workshops, architecture discussions, and design engagements with enterprise customers.Design and deliver enterprise-scale backup, recovery, and cyber resilience solutions.Translate business requirements into scalable and supportable technical architectures.Provide expertise across NetBackup environments, including upgrades, migrations, and modernisation projects.Drive solution design and implementation activities alongside internal engineering and project delivery teams.Produce High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), and technical documentation.Deliver executive-level presentations and technical briefings to senior stakeholders.Ensure solutions are aligned with security, governance, compliance, and operational requirements.Act as the technical authority throughout the project lifecycle.Essential Skills & ExperienceMust HaveActive SC Clearance8+ years hands-on experience with Veritas NetBackupStrong experience with:NetBackup AdministrationNetBackup Upgrades and MigrationsNetBackup AppliancesBackup and Recovery ArchitectureEnterprise Data Protection solutionsExperience designing highly available and resilient backup platforms.Strong understanding of:Disaster Recovery (DR)Business ContinuityCyber RecoveryRansomware ProtectionExperience working directly with enterprise customers.Proven solution architecture experience within large-scale environments.Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills.Highly DesirableNetBackup Flex AppliancesNetBackup Flex ScaleMSDPCloudCatalystAuto Image Replication (AIR)VMware backup solutionsOracle backup integrationsSQL Server backup solutionsTape and Disk-based backup architecturesData domain or enterprise storage platformsCloud & Infrastructure ExperienceExperience with one or more of the following:
