My client, a leading technology organisation is seeking a Senior .NET Azure Engineer to join a specialist team building a next-generation Policy-as-Code and software delivery governance platform.
This is an opportunity to work on a highly strategic engineering initiative focused on automating compliance, governance and deployment controls across large-scale cloud environments. You'll be building the services that connect software engineering workflows with automated policy decisions, helping ensure that releases are secure, audit-able and compliant by design.
The RoleYou'll design and develop cloud-native services that integrate with enterprise development platforms and automated governance systems. Working in an API-first, event-driven environment, you'll build scalable solutions that capture delivery evidence, evaluate policy requirements and provide real-time deployment decisions.
This role would suit someone who enjoys solving complex integration challenges, building robust backend services and working on modern cloud architecture.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and support REST APIs, webhook-driven services and platform integrations.Build services that collect, process and evaluate delivery and compliance evidence.Develop automated policy evaluation capabilities that support critical release and deployment workflows.Create scalable event-driven and serverless solutions within Azure.Own API contracts, authentication mechanisms, resilience patterns, retries and error handling.Build clean, maintainable and well-tested software using modern engineering practices.Embed security, auditability and operational resilience into platform design from day one.Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to improve software delivery processes.Essential Skills & ExperienceStrong commercial experience developing with C# and .NET.Experience building cloud-native solutions in Microsoft Azure.Strong API and integration engineering experience.Experience with Azure Functions, distributed systems and event-driven architectures.Solid understanding of the modern Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).Strong appreciation for engineering best practice including TDD, CI/CD and code reviews.Ability to build high-quality, maintainable and production-ready services.Experience with Python.Knowledge of governance automation, compliance tooling or policy-based controls.Experience within regulated, security-conscious or enterprise-scale environments.Exposure to compliance frameworks, risk management or software governance initiatives.Please send across an updated CV if this position is of interestGCS is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
