We are seeking an experienced Level 3 Field Engineer to join a large public sector organisation on a long-term contract basis.

This is a predominantly Level 3 Infrastructure Support role, focused on maintaining, improving, and securing core IT infrastructure across multiple sites. You'll act as a senior technical escalation point, supporting both operational infrastructure and project delivery initiatives.

Key ResponsibilitiesProvide Level 3 support across Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, and endpoint infrastructure.Administer and maintain Windows Server environments and core infrastructure services.Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, user provisioning, and access controls.Support backup, recovery, patch management, and endpoint security platforms.Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and system performance issues.Manage PC imaging, software deployment, and endpoint lifecycle management.Support infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and technology refresh projects.Work closely with vendors, stakeholders, and internal IT teams.Maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and asset records.Required ExperienceStrong experience in a Level 3 Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Administrator, or Senior IT Support role.Advanced knowledge of:Windows ServerActive Directory & Group PolicyDNS, DHCP, TCP/IPSwitching & Network TroubleshootingBackup & Disaster RecoveryEndpoint Security & Patch ManagementExperience delivering infrastructure projects and upgrades.Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills.DesirableMicrosoft 365 AdministrationIntune, MDT, SCCM, or similar deployment toolsPublic Sector or Education experienceExperience supporting multi-site environments

12-month rolling contract with strong long-term potential and a competitive daily rate.
