Job Title: Senior macOS Networking Engineer

My client is seeking an experienced macOS developer with deep expertise in the networking stack. The role involves designing and implementing a system-level networking module capable of intercepting, analyzing, and transforming data flows. The engineer will be responsible for evaluating the best technical approach available within macOS frameworks and delivering a production-ready solution.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and recommend the most suitable macOS networking framework or extension type to achieve project goals.

Design and implement a robust module for real-time interception and transformation of traffic flows.

Ensure performance, reliability, and compatibility across current macOS versions.

Collaborate with architects to integrate with external control systems.

Provide debugging, observability, and documentation to support validation and handover.

Participate in design reviews and contribute to long-term architectural decisions.

Required Skills

Expert-level understanding of macOS networking stack and system-level development.

Strong experience in Swift and/or Objective-C for system programming.

Proven track record in developing production macOS networking software.

Ability to debug low-level networking behavior using tcpdump, Wireshark, and other diagnostic tools.

Strong grasp of concurrency, memory management, and optimization on macOS.

Preferred Skills

Prior experience with VPN, proxy, or secure networking applications.

Familiarity with kernel extensions, system extensions, or advanced networking APIs.

Experience with high-throughput or performance-sensitive systems.

Other Information

* Engagement type: Contract or Permanent.
* Remote work, with preference for candidates experienced in distributed teams.
* Candidates must be eligible to work in the required jurisdictions

Overview:
A leading international organisation is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager to oversee infrastructure operations across multiple European locations. This is a strategic leadership role, offering the opportunity to manage a diverse team and drive innovation across a complex technology landscape. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability, security, and scalability of infrastructure services, while supporting key business and IT initiatives.

Responsibilities:
As IT Infrastructure Manager, you will:

Lead infrastructure operations across multiple sites and vendor ecosystems.Collaborate with managed service providers to maintain secure, resilient, and scalable systems.Guide a high-performing technical team, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.Assess infrastructure needs for new projects and recommend future-ready solutions.Monitor and mitigate infrastructure-related risks and ensure compliance with governance standards.Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to product selection and deployment strategies.Support infrastructure integration efforts across varied environments and vendors.Ensure adherence to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.Drive cost-effective infrastructure enhancements aligned with business goals.

Qualifications & Experience:
You bring:

5+ years of experience in infrastructure management and technical team leadership.Expertise in server architecture, data centre operations, and systems lifecycle management.Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure), virtualization (e.g. VMware), and Microsoft technologies.Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and infrastructure governance.Proven ability to manage complex integration projects and vendor relationships.Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.A collaborative, energetic approach with a passion for technology and team development.Experience in financial services or regulated industries is an advantage.
