We're building production lines for a brand new fiber optic connector product driven by AI data center demand. Our automation team designs and builds custom equipment, and we need a technical project and procurement lead to keep every machine build on track. You'll own the material and schedule side of each build: turning engineering BOMs into orders, chasing long lead components and keeping engineering, suppliers and the warehouse in sync from design release through commissioning.

What You'll DoCreate purchase requisitions and POs in SAP and Ariba for machine components, tooling and capital equipmentBuild and maintain BOM and material tracking for each machine buildTrack and expedite long lead automation parts such as servo drives, vision hardware, robots and machined componentsResolve pricing, quality and lead time issues directly with suppliersReceive and verify incoming material against packing slips, part numbers and certifications, and log receipts in inventoryMaintain project files, engineering drawings, revisions and quality certificationsTrack build schedules and milestones through FAT and commissioning, and publish status updates and meeting minutesIndependently resolve missing shipments, delayed orders and invoice issuesWhat You'll BringTechnical degree or equivalent experience supporting engineering or manufacturing teamsHands on experience with SAP (MM) and Ariba procurementComfort reading BOMs, part numbers and engineering drawingsStrong attention to detail with specs and data entryAdvanced Excel plus Word, Outlook and TeamsAbility to prioritize urgent requests alongside daily workClear communication with engineers, project managers and suppliersNice to HaveBuyer experience with automation or electrical componentsEngineering background with an interest in growing into project managementExperience with MS Project or Smartsheet, document control or ECNsExposure to FAT/SAT, NPI or equipment transfers
