QA Engineer - Software Testing & API
Our team is looking for a QA Engineer who combines strong manual testing fundamentals with experience working across web applications, APIs, databases, and Agile development teams.
You'll have an opportunity to take ownership of testing from planning through execution while working closely with Developers and Business Analysts to identify risks, improve coverage, and deliver reliable software.
Your ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain comprehensive test plans, cases, and scenarios.
Execute functional, regression, exploratory, and ad-hoc testing.
Support API and web service testing.
Validate data using SQL and SQL Server.
Create testing data required for manual test execution.
Identify, document, and track defects.
Work with Developers and Business Analysts to troubleshoot reported issues.
Review application logs and investigate potential problems.
Configure and deploy software within testing environments.
Evaluate existing test coverage and recommend additional scenarios.
Support testing across new features and existing functionality.
Participate in sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and other Agile activities.
Communicate testing risks and concerns to project teams.
Ensure testing activities remain aligned with project timelines.
Qualifications5+ years of QA experience preferred.
2+ years of experience testing web-based applications.
Strong manual testing background.
Experience with structured testing methodologies.
Experience working within Agile/SDLC environments.
SQL experience with SQL Server.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Bonus ExperienceSelenium.
Postman.
Fiddler or similar web service testing tools.
Jira.
TestRail.
Mobile application testing.
POS/payment devices.
NFC technology.
Hardware testing.
