🚀 Freelance Software Development Engineer (SDE) - Remote (EU) | Monthly Travel to Barcelona

We're looking for a Freelance Software Development Engineer (SDE) to support our team in building scalable, event-driven systems using modern AWS technologies. This is a remote role open to candidates across the EU, with 2 days of on-site work per month in Barcelona.

📍 Location: Remote (EU-based) with travel to Barcelona 2 days/month
💼 Contract Type: Freelance

Developing serverless applications with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, InfluxDB, and CloudWatch

Implementing infrastructure using AWS CDK and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Writing clean, scalable code in Java and Python

Managing system observability and security with CloudWatch and Systems Manager

Working with NoSQL and time-series data (DynamoDB, InfluxDB)

Supporting CI/CD pipelines and contributing to DevOps best practices

Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, CDK)

Proficiency in serverless and event-driven architecture

Solid programming background in Java (and Python)

Experience with monitoring, logging, and security tools

Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation workflows
