Role: Network Security Architect

Your Role:
We are representing a leading bank in Ireland, seeking a skilled Network Security Architect to play a critical role in designing and implementing secure and resilient network infrastructure. This role supports the Bank's digital transformation, enabling secure, cost-effective, and innovative services for customers and colleagues.

The successful candidate will have strong technical experience in network design and will collaborate across technology teams and business units to achieve strategic objectives.

Your Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain secure, resilient network solutions that support the Bank's digital initiatives.Simplify and automate managed environments to reduce complexity and enhance operational efficiency.Develop secure cloud connectivity and integration solutions.Ensure network and network security configurations align with business and regulatory needs, including compliance with DORA and other relevant standards.Proactively manage risk, implement effective controls, and remediate audit findings.Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver solutions that support strategic goals.Lead by example, fostering a collaborative, high-performance team culture.

Requirements:

Essential

Expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-class network and network security solutions.Strong experience with micro-segmentation, Zero Trust, and automation technologies.Familiarity with the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and compliance frameworks such as PSD2/PSD3, PCI-DSS, and banking regulations.Proven track record of delivering network security solutions for large-scale transformation programmes.Strong risk management and control experience.

Desired

5-7+ years of experience in managing and operating network security technologies.Solid understanding of the Irish and European regulatory landscape for financial services.
