Cyber Security OT Engineer

📍 Suffolk (1-2 days per week on-site)

Overview
We're looking for an experienced Cyber Security OT Engineer to support and secure critical operational technology environments. You'll work across infrastructure, networks, and security tooling to ensure resilience, compliance, and protection against cyber threats in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support and maintain OT security infrastructure (firewalls, SIEM, PAM, IDS, endpoint security)Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve security incidents and problemsImplement changes in line with strict change control processesSupport OT security projects and continuous improvement initiativesAssist with cyber incident response and recovery activitiesWork with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to enhance security postureContribute to security testing, risk mitigation, and compliance (e.g. NIS regulations)Provide input into network security design across WAN/LAN and OT environments

Experience Required

~5+ years in Cyber Security or Networking (ideally within OT / industrial environments)Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, VPNs, and routingExperience with SIEM, monitoring, and incident responseUnderstanding of OT/SCADA environments and industrial protocols is beneficialFamiliarity with security frameworks (e.g. NCSC, ISO27001, IEC 62443)Experience with tools such as Fortinet, Cisco ISE, or similarKnowledge of Windows/Linux security and virtualised environmentsScripting (PowerShell/Python) desirable

Must be eligible for UK security clearance (SC)Strong stakeholder communication skills required
