Role- Stress Engineer (Automotive & F1 - Nacelle Systems)
Type- Contract (Inside IR35)
Location- Bristol, UK
Rate- 57 per hour
Nature- Hybrid (3 days onsite and 2 days remote)
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in stress analysis within automotive, motorsport (F1), or aerospace sectors.Strong understanding of fatigue life prediction and material behaviour under cyclic loading.Familiarity with nacelle systems and non-turbo-machinery components.Proficiency in finite element analysis (FEA) tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus).Ability to perform hand calculations and validate FEA results.Experience with critical part lifting methodologies.Strong technical documentation and communication skills.Desirable Skills:
Experience working with PW (Pratt & Whitney) and GE (General Electric) components or standards.Knowledge of material science and new material development processes.Familiarity with aerospace certification standards and stress reporting.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time role.Willingness to travel occasionally between sites if needed.
