Role- Stress Engineer (Automotive & F1 - Nacelle Systems)

Type- Contract (Inside IR35)

Location- Bristol, UK

Rate- 57 per hour

Nature- Hybrid (3 days onsite and 2 days remote)

Essential Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in stress analysis within automotive, motorsport (F1), or aerospace sectors.Strong understanding of fatigue life prediction and material behaviour under cyclic loading.Familiarity with nacelle systems and non-turbo-machinery components.Proficiency in finite element analysis (FEA) tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus).Ability to perform hand calculations and validate FEA results.Experience with critical part lifting methodologies.Strong technical documentation and communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

Experience working with PW (Pratt & Whitney) and GE (General Electric) components or standards.Knowledge of material science and new material development processes.Familiarity with aerospace certification standards and stress reporting.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time role.Willingness to travel occasionally between sites if needed.
