Job Description :
We are looking for a skilled ISP Engineer to join our team to support the build and upgrade of data centers for our client. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with fiber optic networks, data infrastructure, and network hardware. This role involves auditing, installing, and supporting network hardware, fiber cabling, and related infrastructure inside data centers.
Key Responsibilities:
Network & Fiber Optic Infrastructure: Perform installations, audits, and troubleshooting for fiber optic networks, including cabling, transceivers, and related hardware.Data Center Operations: Work closely with cross-functional teams to support data builds, upgrades, and retrofits, including the setup of servers, racks, and network equipment.Documentation & Audits: Maintain accurate records of installed equipment, network connections, and changes made during data builds or upgrades. Submit audit templates for review and approval.Collaboration: Coordinate with various internal teams to ensure successful implementation of hardware and network solutions, including working with construction, network, and operations teams.Continuous Improvement: Support the implementation of best practices and global standards for network deployments, maintenance, and troubleshooting.Troubleshooting & Support: Provide hands-on troubleshooting support for network hardware, fiber optic issues, and infrastructure components in the data environment.Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience working in data center environments, including network hardware installations, fiber optic cabling, and server provisioning.Knowledge of fiber optic networks, including installation, testing, and troubleshooting of fiber cables and transceiversAbility to perform fiber optic testing, including polarity testing, light loss measurements, and troubleshooting using tools like Fluke DTX analyzers.Experience with structured cabling (Cat6a, OM3/OM4 fiber) and working knowledge of rack setups, PDU installations, and datacenter power management.Strong documentation skills for maintaining asset management systems and creating detailed network diagrams.
