Fiber Analyst

Contract: 12+ Months

We're looking for an experienced Fiber Engineer to support fiber network testing, troubleshooting, and remediation efforts across ISP and OSP environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in OTDR analysis, fiber characterization, bidirectional testing, and fusion splicing, with the ability to identify and resolve fiber-related network issues in both field and lab environments.

ResponsibilitiesPerform OTDR testing and analyze results to identify faults, splice loss, bends, and attenuation issuesConduct fiber characterization, CD/PMD testing, bidirectional testing, and power/loss testingTroubleshoot fiber network performance issues and recommend corrective actionsPerform fusion splicing, fiber repairs, and remediation activities as neededCreate and maintain test reports, redline documentation, and demarcation mapsCollaborate with vendors, project managers, and internal teams to support project deliveryTravel to customer sites to perform testing, validation, and remediation activitiesRequirements5+ years of experience in Fiber Optics, Telecommunications, or a related fieldExperience working with ISP and OSP fiber networksHands-on expertise with OTDR testing, analysis, and troubleshootingExperience with CD/PMD testing, bidirectional testing, and power meter/laser testingKnowledge of fusion splicing, fiber restoration, and remediation practicesExperience with fiber end-face inspection and cleaning proceduresProficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelStrong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skillsAbility to travel as requiredMust-Have ExperienceFiber TestingOTDR Analysis & TroubleshootingISP/OSP Fiber NetworksFiber CharacterizationTelecommunications Environments
