We are looking for an experienced Looker Administrator / BI Platform Engineer to manage enterprise Looker environments, support production operations, and contribute to cloud migration, platform modernization, and data transformation initiatives.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Looker, LookML, SQL, GitHub, CI/CD, REST APIs, Azure AD/IAM, GCP, and cloud analytics platforms.
ResponsibilitiesAdminister and provide L3/L4 production support for Looker development and production environments.Manage platform upgrades, releases, patches, configurations, and deployments.Monitor platform health, availability, usage, concurrency, and performance.Troubleshoot complex Looker, data modeling, connectivity, SQL, and performance issues.Support LookML development, code reviews, testing, and Dev/Prod deployment workflows.Manage GitHub version control and CI/CD processes.Manage user provisioning, roles, permissions, groups, and entitlements.Support Azure AD/IAM integration and resolve authentication and access issues.Establish and maintain platform governance, security standards, and usage guidelines.Support Looker REST APIs, including administrative and query-related APIs.Enable API-driven reporting, automation, and advanced analytics solutions.Support migration from customer-hosted environments to Google-hosted Looker Core.Develop and execute migration testing, validation, and rollback strategies.Support GCP-based analytics environments and cloud modernization initiatives.Work with Snowflake, Teradata, and modern cloud data platforms.Validate reporting accuracy, semantic models, query behavior, and data consistency.Optimize SQL queries, BI performance, concurrency, and data accessibility.Create runbooks, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and technical documentation.Conduct knowledge-transfer sessions and mentor internal engineering teams.Support long-term platform ownership and operational process standardization.What You Will LearnEnterprise-scale Looker administration and BI platform engineeringGCP and cloud-hosted Looker environmentsLooker APIs, automation, and advanced analyticsLookML, GitHub, and CI/CD practicesEnterprise IAM, Azure AD, governance, and securityAdvanced SQL and BI performance optimizationSnowflake, Teradata, and modern data platformsCloud migration and data modernizationSemantic modeling and reporting governanceAI-enabled analytics and API-driven reportingEnterprise production support and platform operations
