About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Front End Developer to play a key role in building the user interface for our Multimodal Analysis Framework (MAF).

Our engineering team has developed a powerful API platform that processes media assets such as videos, PDFs, and images. We're now building a modern web application that allows customers to easily upload content, manage processing jobs, and visualize results through an intuitive user experience.

This is a unique opportunity to help build an entirely new UI from the ground up, working within a small, highly collaborative engineering team where you'll have significant ownership and influence over the product.

What You'll Be Doing

Design and develop a modern, responsive user interface using React.

Build new application features that enable users to upload, manage and analyse media assets.

Create intuitive dashboards and visualisations for media processing results, with a particular focus on video-based workflows.

Develop Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) services using Node.js to support the React application.

Integrate with existing APIs and backend services.

Deploy and maintain applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

Work closely with Product Managers, Designers and Backend Engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.

Participate in code reviews, testing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Contribute to technical decisions, application architecture and engineering best practices.

What We're Looking ForEssential Skills

5-8 years of professional software development experience.

Strong commercial experience building modern applications with React.

Excellent JavaScript and/or TypeScript skills.

Experience developing Node.js services or Backend-for-Frontend applications.

Experience consuming REST APIs and integrating frontend applications with backend services.

Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Experience working with Redux or similar state management libraries.

Familiarity with PostgreSQL and cloud object storage such as Amazon S3.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team.

Nice to Have

Experience with Golang.

Experience working on API platforms or microservices.

Experience building applications involving video processing, media workflows or data visualisation.

Exposure to cloud-native environments and distributed systems.

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team building modern, scalable web applications. This role combines frontend development, backend engineering, cloud technologies, and AI-driven solutions, offering the opportunity to work on innovative products that include live video capabilities and intelligent automation.
