Enterprise Cyber Security Architect
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Cyber Security Architect to support the development and delivery of cyber security architecture across a large, complex organisation operating critical technology environments.
This is a 12-month contract opportunity, with the successful candidate providing senior security architecture leadership across enterprise IT, cloud and operational technology environments. The role will work closely with architecture, engineering, project and security teams to ensure security is embedded into major technology programmes and change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain the enterprise Cyber Security Architecture roadmap, standards, principles and reference architectures.Provide security architecture guidance and assurance across major projects, programmes and technology change initiatives.Lead security assessments, risk reviews and threat modelling activities for critical IT and OT environments.Work closely with project teams, solution architects, infrastructure teams and security specialists to embed security requirements into solution designs.Support the development of secure Azure/cloud, DevSecOps and Zero Trust architectures.Design and provide oversight of enterprise security capabilities including IAM, SIEM, endpoint security, encryption and network security controls.Assess emerging technologies and provide recommendations to improve security, resilience and risk management.Provide architectural support during major cyber security incidents and identify opportunities to strengthen security controls and resilience.Define and maintain security controls relating to data protection, classification, encryption, retention and secure information sharing.Represent Cyber Security at Architecture Review Boards (ARB) and contribute to enterprise architecture governance.Support the wider cyber security function in managing technology risk and ensuring alignment with organisational security objectives.Required Experience
Indepth Experience in Cyber Security Architecture, Security Engineering or a closely related discipline.Strong experience designing and reviewing security architecture across complex enterprise environments.Strong knowledge of security frameworks and best practices including NIST, CIS Controls, ISO 27001 and Zero Trust.Proven experience with cloud security, particularly Microsoft Azure.Experience working across DevSecOps, enterprise security technologies and modern cloud architectures.Knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements, including NIS2 and GDPR.Relevant professional certification such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, TOGAF or equivalent.GCS is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
