The Role:

I'm currently working with a Banking Client aiming to upskill their team with the introduction of an experienced Senior Engineer on a contract basis.

As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the Design, Implementation, and operational readiness of CI/CD Pipelines during the application migration, ensuring they are secure.

Key Responsibilities

Independently manage the full migration lifecycle, including build, test, and deployment automation.Validate systems for security, stability, and readiness for production deployment and sign-off.Assess current CI/CD pipelines and propose enhancements that align with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and engineering best practices.Facilitate onboarding through the internal enablement team; configure automation tools and workflows to streamline development processes.Provide hands-on support as a paired engineer, demonstrating best practices and validating pipeline functionality in real-time.Deliver walkthroughs, support sessions, and informal training to empower teams during the migration process.Conduct post-migration reviews and participate in retrospectives to ensure solution reliability and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

Demonstrated ability to work independently CI/CD initiatives.Strong understanding of the full software delivery lifecycle, including:Build configuration, automated testing, validation, and deployment.Designing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.Experience with GitLab CI/CD.
