Overview of the Role:

Data governance / Data classification test analyst

For this position, as well as the usual test analyst job description, we would ideally be looking for someone with experience of working with and testing data governance/data classification solutions, including testing of the following:

Validating that the system enforces data classification policies and associated access restrictions and that users cannot access data that they do not have permission to access, according to the classification scheme. Testing of alerting on any permission violations and testing of approvals of any changes in classification of data.

Testing the creation, modification, and deletion of documents and ensuring that these adhere to the permissions and rules set in the data classification policy.

Testing relevant endpoints (eg laptops) to ensure that endpoint DLP blocks relevant data and file movement as appropriate, according to the rules set in DLP.
