Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - Azure & On-Premises

We're looking for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join a small, collaborative technology team supporting a hybrid infrastructure environment across Microsoft Azure and on-premises infrastructure.
This is a hands-on role covering Azure, Windows Server, VMware, Hyper-V, Microsoft 365, networking, identity, automation and security.
You'll play a key role in the organisation's cloud transformation, including the migration of on-premises VMware workloads to Azure and Hyper-V, while continuing to support and develop the existing on-premises estate.
What You'll Be Doing
Design, deploy and maintain Microsoft Azure and on-premises infrastructure.Support the migration of VMware workloads into Azure IaaS and Hyper-V.Manage on-premises Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.Manage Azure networking including VNets, subnets, NSGs, firewalls and hybrid connectivity.Support Cisco networking, including switching, routing, VLANs and wireless.Develop and maintain Terraform infrastructure-as-code and GitHub Actions pipelines.Administer Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Entra ID and Intune.Support security and governance technologies including Microsoft Purview, Varonis and AvePoint.Maintain infrastructure security standards aligned with CIS, NIST, Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001.Produce technical documentation and take ownership of infrastructure projects and workstreams.
What We're Looking For
5+ years' experience in infrastructure or cloud engineering.Strong experience across Microsoft Azure and on-premises infrastructure.Strong Windows Server and Active Directory knowledge.Experience with VMware and Hyper-V.Good understanding of Azure networking and hybrid cloud connectivity.Experience with Cisco networking.Strong Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and SharePoint experience.Hands-on Terraform experience.Experience with GitHub and CI/CD, ideally GitHub Actions.Experience working in a security-conscious or regulated environment.
Desirable
Azure Landing Zone and Azure Migrate experience.Varonis, AvePoint or Microsoft Purview.PowerShell and Azure CLI.Microsoft or Cisco certifications such as AZ-305, MS-102, SC-400, CCNA or CCNP.
