Role- IT Category Lead

Location- London, UK

Type- Hybrid (1 day per week)

Nature- Contract

Overview of the role-

  • Reporting into the head of procurement
  • Possibly managing 1 IT senior buyer

Main tasks:

  • Software renewals - negotiation and contracting
  • Tenders - liaising with stakeholders and tendering
  • Onboarding - facilitating and coordinating onboarding of new vendors
  • Project support - progressing projects in-flow (can be tenders, new products/solutions, rationalisation etc…)
  • SRM meetings
  • Categories to include software, hardware, telecoms and Infrastructur
  • Stakeholders: CIO, CISO, IT directors, IT project managers, other divisional directors (HR, marketing, L&D, operations etc…), Head of Procurement, proc director, procurement COE - centre of excellence, legal, Data privacy & infosec teams, IT architecture.
  • We are after someone that will easily slot in, build relationships and keep things moving.
  • Ability to deal with many projects at a time and quite a bit of BAU.
  • Need someone with a fair bit of IT experience so they understand what to look for in renewals and tech language.
  • Not looking for major changes or revolution, this is a "keep the lights on" job.
  • Experienced, friendly, safe pair of hands I would say. A Doer.
