Luis Cunha - Head of Security Engineering & Operations - Aptiv The 5G Era New Enterprise 5G trends demand a new approach to security for advanced electronics and industrial companies. Q&A included at the end. Luis started with Aptiv as Head of Security Engineering and, in August 2018, he was given an additional role to manage Security Operations. He has worked on the design and implementation of new Cloud-based remote access to face urgent and high demand working-from-home environments due to COVID-19 (ensuring user, data security, and threat protection), a new Security Operations Centre focusing on security monitoring and security incident response, Cloud Security Posture management & compliance to respond and enable business cloud adherence, and was the Lead for the Manufacturing Security program to enable APTIV to embrace smart factory evolution program – Industry 4.0. Before Aptiv, Luis worked with Vodafone and NOS (both Telecom operators in Portugal) as Senior Manager for Infrastructure Security and Operations. Luis is certified in security strategy and leadership by SANS-GIAC with specialized knowledge in infrastructure, cloud security, and risk management.
