We're currently supporting a public sector organisation in Dublin seeking an experienced Systems Administrator for an initial 3-month onsite contract, with a strong chance of extension. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to major upcoming ICT infrastructure projects in a highly impactful environment.

You'll join a skilled Infrastructure Team supporting and improving enterprise systems across Windows, virtualisation, backups, and security compliance.

Strong hands-on experience with:

Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD)

VMware ESXi, Windows Server (2012-2019)

Veeam backup solutions

Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy

Familiarity with IT security frameworks and compliance, particularly NIS2, is highly desirable.

Excellent troubleshooting, organisational, and communication skills

A growing IT team is looking for an experienced Sys Admin with strong expertise in Windows infrastructure, Active Directory (on-prem and Azure), patch management, and automation. The role will focus on ensuring system compliance, deploying software, maintaining endpoint security, and supporting infrastructure projects across a diverse technical environment.

Role: System Administrator

Type: Permanent role

Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid)

Maintain and monitor Windows & Active Directory/Azure AD/EntraID environments

Manage patching, vulnerability remediation, and compliance via SCCM, Intune, and Autopilot

Deploy applications, updates, and device images according to security standards

Support virtual infrastructure (VMware, Hyper-V) and BCP/DR planning

Automate operational tasks using PowerShell scripting

Manage GPOs, Intune policies, and domain controllers

Participate in an on-call rotation

2-3 years in a similar TechOps/System Admin role

Hands-on with SCCM, Intune, Azure AD/Entra ID.

Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and patch deployment skills

Proficient in PowerShell scripting

Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced, global setup

Degree or diploma in IT or related field (preferred)

Relevant Microsoft certifications are a plus
